Andrew Mack
Founder & Managing Editor
Andrew Mack is a poet, writer, and the driving force behind Loblolly Press. His latest chapbook, Beasts of Chase, is available now. He lives in Asheville with his husband.
Kristin Entler
Senior Poetry Editor
Kristin Entler is an educator from Alabama, currently living in Western North Carolina. Entler is also the managing editor of Loblolly Press's yearly anthology, Understory. Their debut poetry collection OF WATER NEVER CEASING is available now.
Alice Martin
Fiction Editor
Alice Martin is the author of Westward Women (St. Martin's Press, 2026), praised by Joyce Carol Oates as "an audacious first novel." She is an Assistant Professor of English Studies at Western Carolina University, where she teaches fiction and American literature.
Walker Minot
Fiction Editor
Walker Minot is a writer and editor with an MFA in creative writing from St. Joseph's University. He lives in Waynesville, North Carolina, with his wife, kids, and a cat.
Grace Ezra
Creative Director, Understory
Grace Ezra grew up across the American south and currently lives in Washington, DC. Her work has been previously published in Denver Quarterly, Indiana Review, DIAGRAM, Raleigh Review, South Carolina Review and elsewhere. She is the founder and managing editor of Hood of Bone Review.
Theodora Bonis
Contributing Editor
Theodora Bonis is a writer and art educator living in Burlington, Vermont. She holds a BA in English Literature and Studio Art from the University of Vermont, and is the author of Shadowing, a poetry and photography collection. When she’s not writing, she enjoys reading, hiking, playing guitar, and textile arts.
Sophie Isham

Sophie Isham (they/them) is a queer trans nonbinary writer in Birmingham, Alabama. Their work can be found in Flash Fiction Magazine, Screen Door Review, and Your Impossible Voice. When not writing, they can be found taking bad selfies on the hiking trails around Birmingham
Alice Roberts
Editorial Intern
Alice Roberts joins Loblolly Press from Brooklyn, NY, where she studies comparative literature at the CUNY Graduate Center. She enjoys reading literature that is deeply rooted in the local but speaks relationally across time and space. She holds a BA from Cornell University in comparative literature and is originally from Denver, Colorado.
Ari Pohl
Editorial Intern
Ari Pohl is a student at Western Carolina University studying English with a concentration in Writing and Editing in Professional Environments and a minor in Creative Writing. His piece, "Another Dead Deer," has been published in the WCU student publication, the Nomad, and received first place for fiction in WCU's undergraduate student writers' competition in 2026.
Ashley Wallace

Ashley Wallace is a student of English at Western Carolina University. She joins Loblolly Press as an editorial intern supporting organic marketing channels including Tiktok and Substack.
